#8 Tomato Plants
Even though the fruit of tomato plants contains a lot of nutritive value for dogs and humans, the leaves and stems on a tomato are not harmful to you and your pet's health.
Why it can be bad for dogs:
If consumed, the leaves and stems of tomato plants can cause an upset stomach in dogs, which can lead to diarrhea. This is especially the case if your dog ate tomato plants and the leaves and stems in excess.
What to do:
If tomato plants are in your garden, and you often go outside with your pooch to gather tomatoes from the vine, be aware of where your dog is roaming around. Do not allow him to consume any tomato plants until they're clean, and you remove the stems and leaves. Even then tomatoes should only be given to your furry pal in moderation.
