5 To Do When You See A Dog In A Hot Car

Ah Summer! We think of ice cream, laughter, vacations and a cool pool. We can throw off all those cool weather clothes and enjoy ourselves. Unfortunately, our pooches are a completely different story. Their coats stay on all Summer long and although we can toss them an occasional doggie friendly cool treat they are pretty much miserable during the heat of the day.

And, what is worse is when our pooches are left in a hot car. We mean well. They want desperately to go on a little road trip with us. Sometimes they whine and give us those puppy-dog eyes … but we have to be the pet parent and say NO. Leaving them at home may seem unfeeling but in the long run it is the right thing to do.

It has been proven over and over again that hot cars and dogs simply do not mix. It is not only uncomfortable for the dog but can be lethal!
