Have you ever been woken from a deep DEEEEEEP sleep? If you have, you're probably familiar with that odd feeling that sweeps over you when you first open your eyes.

Unless you're naturally a deep sleeper, you might only experience this sensation when you've taken a sleeping aid like NyQuil, Benadryl, another any over the counter sleep medicine. Towards the end of a long day, we tend to struggle with staying awake – we don't need the medicine to help us out either!

We've noticed as our dogs grow older, they tend to experience the same thing. They get tired when we get tired. And sometimes, they succumb to the dreamworld, even if its not exactly “bedtime”.
