[VIDEO] “My Dog Ate Chocolate!” – What You Do Next Could Save Your Pup’s Life!

Discovering that your dog ate chocolate is a worst nightmare for most fur parents. Getting past the who left this chocolate out? blame game is beside the point. The most important thing to do after your pooch has consumed chocolate is to monitor them and try to figure out just how much chocolate they ate. If they barely touched it, they should be fine. (This also depends on your dogs size. Smaller dogs can be affected with small amounts). However, if your dog begins to show signs of feeling ill, such as vomiting, shaking and worse, you need to get them to the vet pronto.

A pet can seriously harm themselves if they eat too much chocolate, especially dark chocolate for that matter. In order to prevent this from happening, obviously keep all chocolate out of reach from a curious pup — even in high places you may never think they can get to, such as a counter-top.

It's better to be safe than sorry!
