How to Properly Trim Your Dog’s Nails Without The Anxiety

Trimming your dog's nails can be a pleasant experience if you ease your pup into it. Many owners may force their scared dog into get their nails trimmed, and this is exactly what you shouldn't do. If your pooch is showing signs of anxiety or aggression, then you're doing it all wrong.

There are ways to get your dog used to her nails cut, you just have to have a good understanding on how to get there.

Part of successfully getting them used to getting their nails cut is by slowing getting them used to it. At first you'll just want them to get used to you simply touching their paws, and playing with their nails and pads a bit. It sounds funny, but this small act is something you must do BEFORE you cut their nails.

  1. I tried and tried to clip my dogs nails. He will not let me near him with the clippers so Im wondering how the heck do they clip his nails at the groomers. He absolutely goes into attack mode when I try.
