It’s been a struggle through the centuries: Dog vs. cat. Will they ever get along?

Happily, some get along just fine. Admittedly, these dog and cat relationships generally start early, when one, the other, or both of the animals are young and ready to take on a new friend, even if the other is a little leery.

But, a little harder is the adult dog and cat meeting one another for the first time — and their human parents knowing these two will have to get along if the family is going to live happily together!

The introduction will need to be carefully planned and patience is the key. This is especially true if the dog was always encouraged to be a “guard dog”. If you’re dog or cat is already territorial this could be a struggle!
