If you’ve had your dog for a while, you probably have picked up on certain signs when he's feeling discomfort or stressed out. However, often dog-owners can often misread the signs of weather-related pet suffering.
Now, it is important to know that some dogs are more susceptible to the cold than others. Tolerances will differ depending on the dog breed. A dog's tolerance of the cold also depends on the thickness of his fur, health, and age.
Small breed dogs, such as pugs, can be particularly sensitive to the icier weather. They can actually get colder much faster than a larger sized dog. And do not forget that extended exposure to the cold can lead to your pooch’s body temperature falling too far below what is normal.
It's important to know how to read the signs so you can tell whether your pug is indeed cold. If he is then, it's time to bring the doggy blankets out!
Go on over to page two and read about how you can tell if your pup is too cold!

Anyone who needs to be told these things should not be allowed to own a dog. Shivering means she’s cold? You don’t say!
