Find Out if Your Doggy Can Help Other Canines in Need by Becoming a Blood Donor

By now you're likely aware that humans can donate their blood, but did you also know that dogs can give blood as well?

The process is relatively straightforward. Since there are only three dog blood banks in the nation, they are usually always low on blood. The blood banks need other dogs to donate their blood to help other canines in need.

A dog must be at last nine months old and no older than nine-years-old to give blood. They also must be healthy and under thirty pounds.

If you're concerned about your pooch being in pain during the process, push that concern aside. Vets are very loving and make sure the pooch is comfortable while drawing blood and it is a quick process.

If your pooch can donate, they can save up to four dogs' lives! That's pretty remarkable, right?
