If you've ever laughed so hard with a friend until your stomach hurt then, you know how much fun laughter is. It is also great to laugh when you're watching a hilarious movie, or you've had a rough day. Sometimes laughing it off is exactly what you need.
Even though dogs don't really laugh, they like to respond to us, which makes us LOL in return. An example is when your pooch takes your slipper away from you. He knows he's not supposed to take your slipper, and when you catch him, his reaction may be guilt or denial. It's as if he is smiling at you with his eyes! It's not that he's actually smiling, but it's your pooch's reaction to you. Dogs feed off of our expressions — and it appears that they are laughing with us!
You have to admit most pooches love to entertain. They love the attention, and thus they will feed off other people's reaction to them. A pooch receiving attention may cause them to do a lot of butt wiggling, licking you a ton on your face, and what almost appears to look like a smile on their puppy dog faces!
