We've all been at one time or another one of those people, who cringes ever so slightly when we witness a dog lick a child’s face or, more specifically, directly on the mouth. If that happens there's good reason to be squeamish.
Sure, it's nice getting affection from our doggy at home, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try and be careful, right?!
To the uninformed, there is no way a human being can catch a disease from a canine. We are a different species, after all, so what infects one certainly won’t touch the other – right?
Well, there may be a slice of truth there but not in all things. There are, indeed, diseases that can be passed along from Fido to his human Mom, Dad and siblings!
Go to page two to see at least seven diseases that Fido can pass on to you!

Except for Lyme disease, the chances of a pet passing on one of these other diseases is almost non existent! Even with Lyme disease, you would still have to be bitten by an infected tic.

Our oldest son had strep throat repeatedly until we discovered his grandparents dog was carrying it and reinfecting him. We got the dog treated to end the cycle

If you have a dog in your home, they’ve probably gotten all of their microbes into you by now. Having them also strengthens your immune system.

One of the dumbest post I have ever read! You get a major health benefit if you do not have an immune disorder, but it help our immune systems to fights against infections! And yeah if you swallow bleach you’ll die… Dahhhhh!! Stupid!
