We may think we love all our pets equally – and in many cases that is usually true. But when it comes to their maintenance do we take care of our dogs better than our cats?
Some will argue that canines need our attention more than felines. Cats are self-sufficient whereas domesticated dogs are needy. While there is a grain of truth there, cats often need as much veterinarian care as a pooch, and the cost can be astronomical, depending on the care or illness.
Yet, sad to say, but cats can be considered a “throw away” pet to many. Think of all the feral cats there are worldwide; in the cities and rural areas. Again, it comes back to that self-sufficiency verdict. On average, if you toss a pup out on the street they are not nearly as likely to survive as a stealthy cat.

I don’t think so. I give my pug more attention because the cat comes to me when he wants it. The pug, she needs it in her sleep

Cats are more independent, when they want you, pet. If not go away. My precious Tinker lived to 21. Our pug feels like I have a wart on my side. But he’s like our little boy.

I LOVE both my pug and my cat. My pug cries whenever I’m not near her though. She’s more attention demanding, but also my cat always wants to cuddle in the bed with me when I’m watching movies or Taking a nap.
