There are times when we wish our pups could talk. While you'd never want to hear “Fido” incessantly telling you to shut off your romantic comedy and put on Air Bud, you do wish he could tell you when he's genuinely in pain.

Unfortunately, our dogs can only show us they're feeling unwell or that they're in pain. But often times they are so subtle we may not know it.

Any number of things could be wrong with our dog. Are they avoiding placing pressure on one leg? Unable to get comfortable? Or maybe licking specific areas on their body? These can all be signs of illness or injury.

Honestly, if your pooch could tell you any other way, they would. So it's up to us to identify the signs and help them.
