On occasion, all but a few of us has tossed our dog a piece of raw meat or fat from a roast or chicken we’re cooking. They enjoy it and many of us don't see the harm?

Just remember, an occasional “treat” is very different from a steady purposeful raw meal practice. While some encourage and embrace the idea of a raw diet for their pups, others disagree because they feel a raw diet could be dangerous.

The best way to understand what is being discussed is to understand what exactly a “raw diet” is with regards to your pet. Generally “raw” means feeding your pooch uncooked items like eggs, veggies, bones, muscle meats and organ meats (aka – liver and kidneys).

It’s important to do what is right and healthy for your pet. The way you feed “Fido” is directly related to his mental and physical health.
