If you're new to owning a pug or having owned one for some time, there is always more to learn about your sweet fur baby. A pug's health is of the utmost importance, so if you ever have any questions don't be afraid to quiz another pug owner or ask your vet questions during your pug's next visit.
Learning about your pug's personality, reactions to medications and if he has any allergies will ensure he stays healthy and around for years to come.
Another aspect of your pug's health is your pooch's nose. There is the common misconception that if a pug's nose is wet this means he's sick. This is not always the case. A pug's nose can be wet for a variety of reasons. Your doggy could be cooling off and as he pants not only does he cool off through his tongue, but also his nose.
Another cause for a wet nose is sleeping. Just like humans get stuffy noses or have to blow their noses in the morning, a pug's nose may be wet or dry depending on the indoor conditions.

Their noses are into everything, you have to keep those wrinkles clean. Pure Pumpkin is a great food for them. They love it, and it’s a natural medicine.

Of course not! A dog’s nose is usually *supposed* to be wet, but if it’s not, that doesn’t mean he’s/she’s sick.

A wet nose is supposed to mean healthy, but that’s not necessarily the case.
