New Study Reveals That Dogs Would Rather Receive Praise From Their Humans as Opposed to Receiving Treats

Most owners know they have a strong bond with their dog, but I think many underestimate just how strong that bond is. A dog's bond is so strong that he would much rather receive love and admiration from his human, as opposed to receiving treats.

I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but for a food driven dog, this says a lot. Recently a study took 15 dogs and put them in a maze. They had the option to find their owner or go to the treats. Well, it turns out the majority of the dogs went to their human and opted out of receiving treats!

This just goes to show that in a life-threatening situation, I really do think a dog would protect his owner at all costs. While that may be scary to think about losing your pet to a scary scenario, it's amazing to think that your dog has that much love for you.

Since this study was only done with 15 dogs I still think they have future testings to do to confirm this study even more, but the researchers are off to a great start.
