New Police Car System Will Prevent K9’s From Hot Car Death

Policemen and police dogs go together like peas and carrots. However an officer’s canine partner may be required to stay in their car for an extended period of time while a policeman is tending to a crime scene, taking reports, or conducting routine police business. It is a very unpredictable line of work for both officers.

With that in mind, there's no wonder that law enforcement wants to ensure their K9 dogs are kept comfortable and safe while awaiting them in their police cars.

With the hot Summer months upon us and the flurry of stories related to hot car deaths involving infants and pets, the need for something like this is tremendous.

The following story comes out of Twinsburg, Ohio where a police officer, equipped with this new police car system, tells us about it!

On the next page, check out how this new system works and what it could mean for canines in hot cars!
