Their personalities are not at all alike. Frenchies are more wide open and. Stubborn and very loving. Pugs are sweet little Velcro pugs that are only 1/2 wide open. Both are terrific!!

I have 6 that are pug/Frenchie mixes. They are litter mates, 12 years old now. The biggest problem I have had with them is they don’t get along well with each other. I was completely unprepared for that because all my full pugs have always loved each other.

When people ask me how i deal with the 365 days a year of shedding, I tell them I love them BECAUSE they shed not in spite of shedding. I lost my fawn a year ago today, I still have her daughter a blk. I think I am going to stick to one color at a time just to be able to only be looking for one color of fur at a time. π

I grew up with Boston terriers, which could kinda be lumped in with these 2 breeds. I have a pug now. She’s the funniest, sweetest thing ever! Pugs are definitely my favorite, but I’ve got a thing for all the smushy face breeds!

So do I! I’m a sucker for a dog with a smooshed-in face, *especially* Pugs! :^)

A couple of the obvious differences are that Pugs have drop ears; Frenchies have erect ears. Pugs are slightly smaller than Frenchies. Pugs are the largest of the Toy breeds. I think Frenchies are in the Non-Sporting breeds group. :^)
