Sometimes a perfect job just falls onto your lap and, in the case of some well-trained German Shepherds, their water bowls runneth over with the duty of protecting some beautiful Indian Tigers!

They are called “sniffer dogs” and it’s their job to keep the tigers safe from animal poachers.

With their training complete, On June 20, 2015 these fourteen striking, elite German Shepherds were marched through a parade with their handlers, impressing all who watched. Their initiation symbolizes a new expanse in the power of wildlife sniffer dogs!

The Indian states that will benefit from these pooches are Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Karnataka.
