You think it's an excellent idea when your friend says she’d like to bring her pooch over so your little fur-baby can have a playmate! You probably have it pictured in your mind, you and your BFF drinking coffee and snacking on cookies while watching the doggies play merrily!

Does not always work out the way we’ve envisioned it. Instead, your dog wants nothing to do with the newcomer. So there he is, sitting at your feet, looking up at you lovingly while the other dog is relaxing in the middle of the living, tearing up this week’s copy of TV Guide.
