Our dogs are with us, in the house or yard, for pretty much everything that happens in our lives. If we’ve gone through a huge disappointment we often see our pooch sitting and staring at us, appearing to hunt for clues as to why we are sad and wondering what they can do to make it better. When we are in a good mood we see a happier dog, ears perked up and waiting for the fun to follow.

At least, this is what we think of in our minds. It seems so obvious that our dogs are in tune with our feelings. But scientifically it’s never really been proven – until now.

Experts can now tell us – through an MRI scan – that Rover really does understand our varying emotions! The do not necessarily feel what we are feeling but, by looking at our face, they understand our moods!

How is this possible, you may ask? Visit the next page to find out more about this incredible discovery!
