Naming your pooch can be a very personal matter. Often owners name their dog after someone they love, maybe a favorite rock star or movie star, or even a favorite city. A neighbor named his dog Nevada. He told us it was either that or “Vegas!” LOL!

Then there are those who want something simple, a name you can quickly call with no confusion such as “Spot,” “Rover” and “Max.” We admit our dog is named Max, but it is actually short for Maximus Von Ike – so no one can accuse us of being uninventive!
