If you own a Pug or have been around them a lot then you know this to be true: Pugs are very easy to love. Not only that, but a Pug has the special ability to tug at a human's heart strings like no other dog can.
If you're thinking about getting a Pug for the first time or adding another furry friend to your doggie party, you may or may not know that Pugs love being the center of attention. They are the life of the party!
These small doggies have a big personality, and when they meet and greet larger dogs, the size difference between them and the large dog does not phase them. In fact, they will likely want to play or show the big dog who's boss! LOL!
This adorable and playful breed takes a lot of work and if we're honest, can be a full-time job. Your Pug may struggle with anxiety and will wish you could be around them all of the time. For many this may not be a possibility, but as a committed pet parent, you will need to do your best to give your Pug your undivided attention and make time for him.
When bringing a Pug into your family expect to laugh a lot! Pugs love being the center of attention and with that will come a lot of antics. However, with laughter comes great responsibility and there are some realities you must accept about your Pug baby.
One thing's for sure: A Pug is worthy of your love and will give you the same amount of love (if not more) in return!
Next, check out some important things you need to learn and accept about your fur child. By understanding these factors you'll be better prepared to care for your Pug, and if you already have a doggie, there are tips you can take away from these realities as well.

I’m thinking maybe it may be an age thing. He’s very hyper he’d rather be playing than snuggling. Either way I love him all the same.

Ben Walbrun beautiful pug! We had the same problem with Elvis. We put a bath mat under the water bowl and it worked so much better than food mats!

I had no problems with my Pug……she has me well trained.

She does alright but it dribbles out as she walks away so it’s a line of water coming from her bowl. She also takes food out of her bowl, walks into another room then eats it

Don’t forget they hate having their feet touched, so start early to desensitize them. Get used to lumberjack snoring and heavy panting. But also get ready for some beautiful singing. My pug can howl and sing and I love it. My pug is afraid of everything? Phones, paper plates, forks, toilet paper, shoes, shirts, towels etc. Every time he sees them he runs screaming from the room or he braces himself and barks at the item as if preparing for a fight. It’s hard to get pictures of him because of this. I love him so much. He’s so funny. You’ll fall in love with everything about your pug. The sweet, velvet ears are a bonus

Nothing like the snoring of two pugs at the same time, I also had a fawn and black and so different in personality. I wish I could have my babies back, but they have past on, and I will never ever forget their silly antics. It was a comedy show every night.

My two girls are different as night and day too. Molly, our black, is full of attitude and sooo smart. Lucy, the fawn, is mellow, a true love bug (not that Molly isn’t). My son says Molly is rhe brains of the operation and Lucy is dumber than a box of rocks. LOL
