In this story, we have two people who are brought back to themselves, made into better people, because of one wonderful dog. It does not get much better than this!

While we do not know what Laurie did to wind up in a correctional facility, it is rather satisfying to know that her own rehabilitation, training Pax, served to help others. Working with the Lab obviously taught her much and she truly realized her worth when she heard Sargent Bill, a man with his own issues, was going to be Pax’s owner and Daddy.

As she said, and many of us can relate to, a dog can restore a piece of your soul!
