There may come a time when we see a really ugly puppy but that day has not yet approached. Even the pooches in “ugly dog” contests have some kind of odd cuteness to them and most are grown dogs, not puppies.

Therefore, when we see pug puppies taking a bath, with that plastered back fur, large seemingly frightened eyes, and little whimpers of confusion, we cannot get over the adorableness. Honestly, looking as they do – like small wet rats in the tub – they are probably not physically cute but, on the other hand, very few of us look that good when vulnerable and bath-water-wet! LOL!

But really, watching them, as small as they are, attempting to get out of their tub and not quite understanding that the bathing is a good thing does give us an “Awww!” moment or two.
