Anyone who has ever had a dog as a child will know what it is like to grow up with the pup and, one day, see him or her leave us. It’s just a fact of life, as sad as it is, that human beings will outlive their pets.
This is particularly true when your pup is ill and a veterinarian tells you he does not have long to live. As the adult you have to set an example to your kids, hoping they will understand this sad time.
But what if your pup’s best friend is another dog, a “brother” that has been through everything with said ill dog?
Bruce, the dog with cancer, and Willy, his best friend, were an inseparable twosome and Bruce’s human “Mom” suspected there might be problems once Bruce passed away. And she was right. Human beings are not the only creatures that mourn.
Go on over and read their sentimental but life-affirming tribute on page two!

Our bonded Pugs were always together as these. We lost our Winston a little over two years ago. CarrieAnne grieved nightly as did my husband and I. She and I lost my husband 19 months ago. Every day I bring up their names so she never forgets either.

Very touching, my family also had a pug his name was Sire and we had to do the same to him last year. They got him as a pup and he lived to be 11 years old. Hardest thing we had to do, he was family.
