Person Places Thousands of Thumbtacks in a Dog Park with Intent to Hurt Dogs – Owners and Officials Are Furious!

tacks at Hercules dog park

Why would anyone want to harm dogs? Find out what's happening at Hercules Dog Park.

On January 30, the Hercules Police Department received a call from a dog owner reporting that he’d found about 100 thumbtacks scattered around the Ohlone Dog Park.

Each time dog owners clear the area, and a nearby creek, of the tacks, the next day the culprit has scattered more. Tacks have even been found in water bowls.

…anyone to report suspicious activity immediately by calling Hercules Police at (510) 724-1111.

Hopefully, officials catch the culprit soon enough. There is no reason for this senseless act to be occurring in this community's dog park.
