How To Determine Your Dog’s ‘Pack Position’

When you have a dog there are some truths that are evident.

We want our pups to be submissive to us. They have to be so that we can train them and feel safe when they are around our children. In other words, if our pooches are dominate with us, if their behavior is overly aggressive, certain steps have to be taken to switch it around. Some are rather unpleasant but a necessity for the safety and security of the family.

A good indication whether or not your dog is dominant or submissive is how they act around each other. There are certain cues you can take. Who always takes the lead if you take dogs out two at a time? Who is the first pup to greet you when you walk in after a long day at work? Does one dog tend to growl at the other when there are issues about food?
