If you've heard of pet owners giving their dogs rawhides and you have some concerns you're not the only one. Many pet parents aren't sure if giving their pooch a rawhide bone is a good idea, leading them to either ignore them all together or try it out to see if their doggy even likes the taste of rawhide.
The truth is there are good and bad things about rawhide bones.
A few of the significant benefits these bones have been they prevent your pooch from chewing on other things such as the woodwork in your home and shoes. Also, it can help your pup have healthy gums and teeth since chewing is good for dogs.
A few things that should raise some concern about rawhide bones is they can cause choking, take a lot of time for a dog to digest if too if they swallow too much of it, and unknown chemicals can be in rawhide.

You have to take them away when they can be swallowed. I buy really long ones and replace them when they are approx 8″ long!

I only buy any treat if it’s made in the US. It’s not just rawhides made elsewhere that can poison your dog.
