Is your doggy taking another nap?! Here's a little known fact: if Fido tends to sleep a lot throughout the day…. don't stress. It's completely normal.
In fact, some doggies sleep up to 12 hours a day! A Pug is somewhat energetic so if you have a Pug she may not sleep that much, but if you catch her snoozing several times a day that's because she's reenergizing herself for the next activity of the day.
Doggies are lucky because they get to enjoy the REM state of their sleep after just 15 minutes, whereas humans have to wait around 90 minutes for this to take effect. During that time, they may experience dreams, which is why you may see their legs move or hear them making noises.
Watching your pup during an REM state of sleep can be VERY entertaining!
