Initially, Thorin the German Shepherd puppy looks like he may be in a little over his head. He has been tasked with watching over some baby chicks. And, for a young dog, these odd little birds are not just something new but are very odd indeed!

He knows they are alive and breathing, and the chicks need to be kept in line, but what they are made for is beyond his comprehension. After all, they are not fellow puppies so what made them? LOL!

Still, he is serious and quite diligent in his job and a little later he is joined by Charon, a fellow adult Shepherd who appears a little more world-wise. In other words, the chicks do not seem to impress him as much but he does appear to be amused by Thorin’s bemusement!
