Aren't doggy apps useful? We think so too. Maybe even someday there will be a doggy Facebook because they've already come up with everything else, right? See if you're missing any apps from the great list below!
#1 – BriskNow
This app (available for both ios and android) offers a unique alternative to pet sitting. People register for a a fee as either a pet owner ($10/mo.) or a pet borrower ($3/mo.). They provide insurance, IDV verification, and tracking to make sure it’s a safe and easy. Then, all you have to do is find someone near you who wants to “borrow” your dog while you are a way. In addition, the company is partnering with Dogs on Deployment to help military men and women who are pet parents find homes when they get deployed instead of having to give up their dogs. Finally, they are also pairing with rescues and shelters to help our foster families wanting to go on vacation. www.brisknow.com#2 – Figo Pet Cloud
This month, Figo Pet Insurance is launching the industry’s first ever mobile app that uses the power of cloud technology. Pet owners can now manage their furry friends’ entire life all in one place. With the creation of the Figo Pet Cloud, dog owners will be able to upload and share vital records, certificates, vaccination reminders, pictures, videos and more, all with the simple push of a button. Figo has also made filing a claim simple and pain free. Pet owners can easily upload veterinary bills from any device and get paid electronically instead of having to wait weeks for a mailed check. Additionally, the Pet Cloud will send text, email, and push notifications to owners reminding them of upcoming shots and appointments. www.figopetinsurance.com#3 – DogVacay

PawParks.nyc helps pet parents discover the 130+ parks in the NYC area and will inform users on which pups are checked-in and playing at nearby parks. By simply creating a profile for Fido, pet parents will have the luxury of connecting with other pet parents in one convenient place. This innovative website and app has some paw-some features, like making “PawPals” and scheduling “PawDates” with four-legged friends throughout the community. In addition, they have a sponsor network that provides the kibble and products to those NYC shelters/rescues – all you have to do is use the website or iOs app to decide which park you want to take your great dog(s) to… check-in and enjoy! The only problem with this app? It’s only servicing New York City at the moment! www.pawparks.nyc#5 – DoggyBnB
The DoggyBnB app makes it easy to connect pet owners to friends & trusted dog sitters through your personal social network. #6 – ResQWalk
You take your dog for a walk anyway, why not have do some good while you’re at it? ResQwalk is a mobile app that enables you to raise money for homeless animals and earn you prizes every time you go for a walk. Each week, ResQwalk announces a donation pool (e.g. $2,500) and in order for a rescue to receive donations from the pool, its supporters simply need to check-in to the app when they go for a walk. We support animal rescues in the United States and Canada. www.resqwalk.com#7 – Tindog
Tindog is the first social app for dog lovers who want to connect with other owners nearby. It’s a fun way to meet new people around us that share a similar passion for canines — whether it’s to build new friendships or even make a love connection. And because there’s already a shared interest to break the ice, it’s more likely matches will actually meet-up. Plus, by matching with neighborhood dogs, Fido will never have to walk or play in the park alone again. www.tindog.co
