Brindle, silver, and fawn pugs are all the rage these days. People love their color and the fact that these breeds have clear, friendly faces they can all love and adore. But let’s not dismiss the black pug!

Black pugs are very common among their breed and because of this, the fact they are not as unusual in color as some, the black pug may be appreciated but also rejected because it is not seen as unique. First of all, in our book there is NO dog, pug or not, that should be disdained and less so our happy, friendly, and ultimately cute black pug!

That tongue sticking out alone is enough to make us melt!

    I just lost my 14 year old apricot fawn Gracie, but I’m lucky to have my black girl Loretta, she is missing her sister and is very quite at the moment.. Giving her lots of extra walks hoping she gets over her loneliness..

    I have 3 pugs, 2 are black. I rescue and very hard to let any of them go. Three stayed here along with 25 other rescues over the years. Adoption is hard. I love them all so much. If I wouldn’t give these people a child, they won’t get a pug.
