If you watch your dog carefully you will see him do a dozen different things, such as attempting to communicate with you.

You can pretty much tell when your pup is happy or excited. He’ll jump up and down and that tail of his will swish back and forth. Some pups will even pant when they're happy.

If your dog is afraid or nervous, his ears will generally move back and the he will tuck his tail. Some dogs will avoid eye contact although I know of at least two pooches that will avert their ears and look directly into their master’s eyes anxiously. That is courageous!

But there are some signals you may be missing. Your best friend may be speaking to you all of the time but you're missing what your dog's body language is all about!
