When there is a way to feed our dogs wisely and economically and give them healthy treats without guilt or added fillers or stabilizers, we should jump at it. After all, we want our furry friends to be with us a long time to come and what better way to assure that than to feed them well!
However, buying “normal” snacks at the pet store or local grocery store can be very expensive and, even then, unless the manufacturer is truly conscientious, we cannot be certain what we are feeding Fido is the best for our beloved pup.
Stress such as this can be tempered if we, their pet parents, make snacks ourselves. Not only is it good for our dog, but we get to control what ingredients go into Fido's treat! Plus, it’s also better for small children who – unknowing to us – decide to snack on the dog’s treats as well! Unappetizing, but it has been known to happen! LOL!
