You can have the sweetest dog in the world, a pup that is usually well behaved and he and the family have a great time together. Then suddenly he will do something you don’t expect – or perhaps you do know it’s coming but are not quite sure what to do about it.

A friend comes to the door and instead of staying put he has to run outside and see who it is. Okay, not so bad but – but then your pooch gets distracted and runs down the street!

Honestly, we have had more than one incident of this happening! Unbearably, all you can see in your mind is your poor dog getting injured; getting hit by a car or fighting a dangerous bigger dog! Or what if he attacks some unsuspecting child out of fear?! Talk about scary!
