Hilarious Video Proof That This Dog Has The Patience of a Saint!

Squirrels are adorable and can be very mischievous at times. But what's a character trait that almost every squirrel has? They hide/store their food. In cartoons, squirrels are traditionally depicted as being on the hunt for a prized acorn or nut. And the first thing they do when they get their acorn or nut is hide it for safe keeping. True to how they're showcased in cartoons, real life squirrels opt to hide their food too. It's a survival technique! The whole purpose to hiding their meals is so they can eat them at another time, perhaps at a time when they are having difficulty finding food. Winters can be tough for wild animals to find nourishment. So squirrels, being the smart little critters that they are, work extra hard to locate things to eat while they're readily available. Once found, squirrels work to find a secure location to store their food until they need to eat it.  If you've ever been to a park with a lot of squirrels, you can observe this adorable (and very efficient) behavior for yourself!

In today's post, you're going to meet Wally the domesticated squirrel and his buddy Jax the Bernese Mountain Dog! But don't let Wally's domesticated title fool you because he's sticking to his food storing squirrel roots.
