Once they discovered that Adam was allergic to humans, they weren't sure what to do. It makes it a little difficult to help a pup when he's allergic to you! Luckily a dermatologist stepped in and came up with a special doggy cockatil and the results below will stunn you!

When Lucky Dog Retreat Rescue saw a tiny black Labrador Retriever at their local shelter in Indianapolis, Indiana, they figured they would be able to help him. It looked like the dog, who they named Adam, had flea dermatitis.

They ran some more tests and continued with antibiotics, medications and baths for another month. But still no improvement! They then decided to run an allergy blood test and were stunned by the results! Adam was allergic to humans!

The vet explained that just as people can be allergic to dog dander, dogs can be allergic to people dander.

Once they knew the root of Adam's problem, Adam got a special allergy cocktail, much like kids get to boost their immune system.
After several months of treatments, his fur has grown back.

In other good news, Adam has been adopted by Beth Weber, the center's employee who has spent the past year caring for Adam.

We're so glad that Adam was adopted by someone who can take care of him and that is familiar with his treatment! We can't imagine what Adam had to go through to find his forever and get better from his allergies to humans, but we're so glad that he did!
