Sometimes it's challenging having Fido participate in the same activities you do. You can take her to the park with you and even for a walk near your favorite stores, but there many places you can't take her, such as inside your favorite restaurant or on an Amtrak to visit another city together.

It's frustrating when you want your pooch to join in on some of your favorite adventures, only to find out that she has to be a service dog in order to do that.

One person is trying to change this so that his dog can join him on the Amtrak, and his efforts are gaining steam (no pun intended).

His name is Republican congressman Jeff Denham of California and wants to be able to take his adorable pooch Lily with him occasionally.
