Before they were dogs they were puppies and while some will say that there is always a little bit of a puppy in every dog, until you’ve lived through the puppy stage, you cannot understand what it is to live with a puppy!

There are many good things about having a puppy around the house. The cuteness factor is usually number one in the minds of most. But it’s also the fun of teaching them – and wondering if they will retain what you have taught.

Don’t forget to have plenty of treats to reward during training for the best results! And, simply put, a puppy loves to be loved and wants – more than anything else – have fun and please its humans!

Now, the not so great things about a puppy can be a number in the dozens. Piddling on the carpet, getting under foot, barking at everything, drinking out of and digging in the indoor flower pot – and plainly being a seemingly unstoppable force of nature!
