
We are all excited about the upcoming long weekend and, like many Americans, you may be planning to have a backyard BBQ for Independence Day. And, along with this, maybe a day at the beach and visiting with friends and family, you will probably be enjoying fireworks – but your dog will not.
Anyone who has a pooch knows they truly dislike the lights in the sky and the noises, all those pops, and bangs that come from festivities. If they understood they would certainly like it so much more but to them, it’s just loud and frightening!
Having said this, there are some things you might need to know, for your pup’s sake, come Independence Day. Many of the following tips seem like common sense, but it is surprising how many of these things get passed by with all the excitement of holiday preparation!
