You've likely seen the videos on YouTube of Pugs screaming for attention or acting devastated when left in the car with one human for one measly minute while their other parent runs into the store. These are facts about Pugs you must learn to accept, but it doesn't hurt to learn all that you can about them so you can be prepared how to handle each situation.

4) Pugs are food driven 

If you're not watching your Pug constantly, it's likely that he will consume things that aren't edible. To stop this from happening it's important to Pug proof your home to avoid having your Pug try to eat things that aren't edible. This goes without saying but implementing the “drop it” command will come in handy when you don't want your Pug swallowing a rock, for example!

5) Many Pugs are obsessive lickers

Not all dogs love to lick everything in sight, but Pugs do! You will see them licking themselves, you, their doggy siblings, the cat, your pillow, and even the carpet. This is a Pug thing that you need to be aware of and try to stop them from doing if you don't want them to lick absolutely everything in sight.

6) Pugs can be quite vocal

Pugs love expressing what they think and are known to be barkers, howlers, moaners, and grumblers. If you have a Pug, then you know this to be true!

  1. So true on all aspects. My black pug seems to be more human than the 2 fawn ones. And she definitely is grief shown guilt when something is wrong. Love my babies. All have different wonderful personalities
