In the world of good health versus sickness, it is probably easy to say that Kate McMahon has had to go through some difficult times and still has a trying time ahead. She was diagnosed with breast cancer just before her 30 birthday, triggering a rather somber celebration. However, at the current age of 38 she has outlived the 6 to 12 months her doctor gave her at the beginning of her illness.

Unfortunately, since then she has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and metastatic cancer which had spread to her spine and chest.

One might think this poor lady, given such a bleak outlook on life, might sit back and wallow in gloom. But not Kate, who is trying to get as much living as she can out of life until that moment when she can no longer move about as she would like.

She developed a “bucket list” and it certainly has crazy- interesting things to experience like riding in a hot air balloon and visiting every world heritage site in Australia. But she also has a simply request that, given her happy personality, warms the heart.

She simply wanted to play in a pile of puppies!
