[VIDEO] Heroic Dog Protects Little Girl From Falling In Pool

Meet Sebastian. The giant Newfoundland dog with a heroic heart of gold. His family has several videos on him online with their daughter Sierra. Some videos display the twosome acting silly and playing together while another depicts Sebastian getting a bubble bath at the hands of the toddler. They really are an adorable pair.

But in today's post, something stands out. The true act of friendship! And in this case, the gentle giant is acting as a saving grace to his favorite blind haired tot.

We all know how dangerous pools are. Whether a pool cover is used or not, accidents happen. And small children are always at risk when their home is equipped with an outdoor pool. Sierra lives in a home with a very large outdoor pool. So she's very lucky to have Sebastian by her side!

Not sure what we mean? Check out the video below and watch how Sebastian uses his size to protect Sierra from getting too near the pool.

Isn't that incredible? It's as though Sebastian knows the pool is unsafe for Sierra and he's working hard to act as a barrier between her and the large body of water.

We wish more dogs would take a queue from Sebastian! He seems like a great pooch to have around. Such a protector!

  1. Seriously, the child was placed there with the dog and the parents had the camera ready.

Dumb parents. They should be charged with letting child close to the pool unspervised.

All of it was a set up.

  2. Our Rottie Annie noticed a toddler at the beach on a bee line for the water. Her mom and dad were distracted by another child still in the car. Annie trotted over to the child and stood between the child and the water until one of the parents got there. I was close but never felt like I needed to do anything but watch my amazing Rottweiler do her thing.
