Yes, this elderly man has struck up a wonderful friendship with a more than unusual pet and we have to smile at his patience and the animal’s charm! This may not be for everyone but, if you ask Mr. Laamanen, he will say he and his pal will remain inseparable for all time!

Of course, there will be those naysayers that insist the otter is there for food only, that he doesn’t really care about Seppo. We, however, feel there is a reason for everything and if Seppo feels a kinship with this sweet otter then let it go. He’s not keeping him inside unless the otter wants it, and there apparently has never been an attack of any kind.

So, for right now, Seppo and his otter friend like being together and we say let them alone. Besides, they make us smile!
