This is the story of Lulu, a mild mannered Goldendoodle who has a very important role. She works at the aforementioned funeral home as a “comfort companion”. The owner of Ballard-Durand observed the way people reacted to animals, specifically dogs, during a bad situation. In his observation, he noticed that bad situation can be improved by presence of a sympathetic canine. Some patrons may not have the urge to pet the dog, but it's presence helped.
