These Homeless Dogs Are Now Working For The Police… And It’s Awesome

It's a scary world that our children live in. Every day if you turn on the news you'll hear a new story about drugs and how they may be affecting the neighborhood you live in. It can make you scared for the future and all the more cautious about where and when you drop off your children. You want them to enjoy their childhood but at the same time it's hard for you to feel secure about their whereabouts, especially if they want to enjoy outdoor activities with other kids.

Thank goodness for organizations that come together to help our community stay safe by training dogs to detect narcotics and explosives. The amazing thing is that most of these dogs come from animal shelters. These courageous doggies would have otherwise been put to sleep if not for a few organizations called Universal K9, and Help Dogs Help Us.

These groups put together campaigns that raise funding so that more and more dogs can be trained to keep neighborhoods safe. These campaigns are twofold — they help keep families safe and dogs safe by saving their lives.

You have to read more about this powerful cause to train dogs to help us. Continue reading on the next page.
