Here are five favorites and an honorable mention of the celebrity dog world. Motion pictures would not be the same without them!

Rin Tinn. He may be the original big time dog hero, starting in 1923 with his first movie and going on to star and feature in twenty seven more films!

ToTo. Dorothy’s cute terrier who went with her to Oz. If it wasn’t for him Dorothy might still be stuck in that wicked witch’s castle!

Marley. We laughed as Marley’s antics on the big screen, how the pup’s phobia’s distressed a frazzled family. But we know Marley was loved as much as the children! Marley was one of a kind!

Old Yeller. We loved watching him from puppy to adulthood and, next to Marely, probably no animal death has affected us more!

Lassie! The icon! She’s beautiful and has been with us in the movies and televsion for decades. She’s a heroine of the highest level!

And finally ..

Cujo! Not lovable after his infection but it’s hard to hate a this big, fluffy pooch! Only Stephen King could make a Saint Bernard evil!
