Senior Pug With Special Needs Reminds Us Just How Important it is to Adopt

It is always very tempting if you have the finances and inclination – if you want to show a dog – to go to a breeder or pet store to adopt or purchase your pooch. But at least, eight out of ten times a family merely wants a pet, a furry family member to cuddle with or play with the kids.

These are the dogs that make perfect adoptions, the ones you find in dog shelters, pups that have lived life but now, in their later years, just need forever homes. You may pull back because, as an adult dog, they already are set in their ways but that can be a good thing!

In the case of a charming pug, Rodgie, who recently found a wonderful home – she is already potty trained, is a mere nine pounds and has a cute tongue that –as they say – goes on for days! She's a great reminder to us all to adopt and that's not all. You're going to love her story!

If you would like to see some terrific photos of Rodgie, who thankfully found someone to adopt her, learn more about this sweet senior Pug's story on the next page!
