If you've ever owned a dog, there will come a time when she has done something embarrassing or a little nauseating in the house. It's not that your pooch is bad, but without the right communicating skills a potty-break might come on suddenly or be over-looked.
To make these occurrences like this less likely, it is always a good plan to housebreak your dog at an early age. But what about those pups that are adopted as adults? If they've never been house-trained you could have a problem on your hands. However, with time and patience even they can become the poster-pup for a well house-broken dog.
The key is doing the training over and over again and not giving up when accidents happen. Also, be careful when you scold a dog because they will be as confused as you. They don't do their business in the house because they think it's fun or funny. They simply do not understand, and their human yelling at them is not going to help.
