Comedian George Carlin once said: “What does a dog do on his day off? He can't lie around or get into trouble – that's his job.”

People often wonder if, when their dog is in the process of doing something bad or inappropriate, does “Fido” really knows what he has done is wrong?

In the aftermath, I think we can say yes. The signs are all there; the dour look and the tail between the legs. But are they acting this way because they know what they did was wrong – or because they can see our reaction and realized something bad is going down?

Whatever the case, there is a certain ‘deer caught in the headlights’ look pups gives us when the jig is up and nine time out of ten it’s hysterical! Some look sorry and guilty while other appear rather pleased with themselves!
